Student life
The Smoky mountains
The Great Smoky Mountains are a mountain range rising along the Tennessee–North Carolina border in the southeastern United States. The range is sometimes called the Smoky Mountains and the name is commonly shortened to the Smokies. The Great Smokies are best known as the home of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which protects most of the range. The park was established in 1934, and, with over 11 million visits per year, it is the most visited national park in the United States.
PIGEON FORGE
Pigeon Forge, in East Tennessee, is surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains and beautiful scenery for every season. In the heart of the south, hospitality and kindness are ways of life. Students experience this to be true not only within the Summit community but also with the citizens of Pigeon Forge as well. From exploring the beautiful terrain of nearby natural wonders to making a friend at one of the shops downtown, Pigeon Forge is a great place to call home.
